Yanesh Ramiah (Managing Director)

Prior to her appointment as MD, Yanesh acquired a range of technical and management experience within the financial services, retail, public and IT sectors. She built this experience by fulfilling a number of key roles at Datavia (now Arrivia.kom), Old Mutual, Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP) and Computer Sciences Corporation. Using her knowledge and expertise, Yanesh is dedicated to making a valuable contribution to Swist Group in a field that she considers dynamic and rewarding.

Yanesh graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1990 with a BSc degree in computer science and mathematics, and also holds an MBA degree from Oxford Brookes University gained in 2003.

Wag Nel (Executive Manager: Research and development)

Graduated at Stellenbosch University with B.Sc(maths, physics, computer science). He joined the National Accelerator Centre as an Accelerator Physicist and then joined Swist Group Technologies where he performed various roles in software development ranging from Head (Oracle DBA group), team leader and project manager. As part of the restructure, he joined Swisttech in June 2006. He initially fulfilled the function of ICT consultant in the telecommunications industry mainly consulting in billing and mobile solutions. He was later promoted to Executive Manager: R&D where he is responsible for the Technological and strategic direction of the compay.

Michael Hamilton (General Manager: Development)

Studied his National Deploma in Electronic engineering and MCSE+I. He started his career as Electronic engineer at Plessey Talumate in Microwave and Avionics Department working on military applications. He then moved to Bytes Specialised solutions where he worked his way up from Desktop support to Account manager, Branch manager and Operations manager for the Western Cape Desktop support and Compaq Warranty Workshop. He managed the Western Cape Desktop support contracts for Engen, ACSA, SANTAM, UDV, Pep Stores, FNB, Nedbank and the National Support Contract for Sanlam, with a Onsite Branch at Sanlam Head office from where the National Sanlam Contract was managed, meeting the Year on Year SLA commitment of 100%. He then joined Swisttech in 2004 where he had roles such as Application support leader, Account manager, Operations manager and new Business Development. As part of the restructure, he joined Swisttech in June 2006. He was recently promoted to General Manager: Software Development where he is responsible for management, technical and strategic direction of the development division.
